And whatever happens today, I believe that
1 Peter 2:13-17 calls us all to:
"Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king."
So whether the next President is John McCain or Barak Obama, these will be my priorities throughout the next 4 years:
#1 - Live as a servant of God
#2 - Show proper respect for everyone by:
#3 - Loving the brotherhood of believers
#4 - Fearing God (Who will remain on His throne!)
#5 - Honoring the king (or President) as my authority
