Our Last Weekend as 3

I am working on writing several blogs right now. I have a lot to catch up on. I thought I'd start the weekend before Miles was born - our last weekend as a family of 3! It was the most fun weekend that we had had in a long time. We did all kinds of fun things. Here are a few:

Our neighbor let us swim in his pool since our neighborhood pool wasn't open yet.

Then we headed to Bridgestreet to play in the fountains...

Carter didn't really know what to think for the majority of the time...but he got into it a little at the end.

We rode the Carousel!

For supper, we ate at one of our favorite restaurants - PF Changs. Carter loves the horse outside!

We listened to the live band outside as we waited for a table...

The next night, Kevin and I got a babysitter and went on a date to see our very favorite comedian - Bryan Regan!

I laughed so hard I peed cried!!! This man is by far the funniest person I have ever listened to!

It was the perfect way to spend our last weekend as a family of 3!!!

Happy Mother's Day

I love being a mom more than anything else in the whole world! Thank you to the moms in my life! I am so blessed to have your examples to follow, and I hope that my children will one day look up to me the way that I look up to you. I want to be a Christian wife and mother - just like you.

Yep, we actually got up and went to church this morning! It was such a blessing to get to be there for Mother's Day and hear the special message written just for me on Miles's 1st Sunday! I am not wonder-woman or supermom...Reality?...They offer 2 hours of free babysitting for crazy toddlers :-)

Can you guess who I am talking about?

Miles is Here!

IMG_0832 copy

Miles Thomas Watts was born on May 8, 2012 at 3:55pm and weighed 7lbs. 9oz. measuring 19 inches in length!

God has richly blessed us with another healthy baby boy, and we are so very thankful! I will be back soon with the birth story.

38 Weeks

I thought I'd go ahead and throw in a baby bump update since I haven't done this but 3 times this pregnancy! I don't know, there's something about documenting your weight gain/body enlargement that just doesn't seem quite as magical the second time around. My last update was more than 10 weeks ago, and let me tell you, I've grown - or should I say - MILES has grown :-) Carter was born a few days after his due date, so I'm not getting my hopes up for an early delivery....he will come eventually, of that I am certain!!! Without further ado, here I am at 38 weeks and counting.

Kevin wanted me to do a "more interesting" pose, so here it is - my interesting pose at 38 weeks...

I know...amazing, right?

Here I am at 37 weeks with Carter for comparison...

Yes, I know...I was roughly 20 lbs heavier with Carter - it may have something to do with the fact that I am now chasing him around all day long!

As I am not sure what my time is going to look like in the coming weeks, I went ahead and made my pregnancy collage.

I thank the Lord for healthy and fairly uneventful pregnancies, but I am pretty "over it" at this point and READY to meet Mr. Miles!!!!

Latest and Greatest: Nursery Update

I told you I'd update you on the nursery after we got the crib ready. Well, it's ready - the nursery is officially ready! Did you hear that Miles? It's safe for you to come out now... Here are some pictures of the completed nursery:

I love the way it turned out, and I must say...I'm even getting pretty ready to spend a lot of time in here again rocking and feeding and snuggling!

Sewing for a Girl

So my friends have baby boys - almost exclusively! It's so crazy. I think we are starting a little army sometimes. However, 1 out of the 5 babies due this Spring/Summer in our Sunday School class is a little girl!!! Woohoo! Little Baylee is going to have her pick of the boys - that's for sure! I had so much fun this week sewing a few things for her baby shower. I prayed for Baylee, her mommy & daddy, the delivery, post-partum adjustments - all that fun stuff as I was making these little girly things. We can't wait to meet you, Baby Baylee! Here are the things I made along with links to the tutorials!

Who can resist a ruffle butt onesie?!?! There's a serious lack of ruffled butts in my house :-)

The Shower was fun! Our server knew Stephanie, so he was a hoot the whole time! It's good to get together with just the girls and laugh!
